Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Centennial Connection (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Continued use after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use the App, you must: • Be at least 18 years of age. • Be a current student of Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology and hold a valid @my.centennialcollege.ca email address. • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If we discover you do not meet these requirements, we may terminate your account immediately.
3. Account Registration and Security
You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating your account. You may create only one account per person. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at heoposit@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the App, including profile photos, biography text, and chat messages ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute it solely for the purpose of operating the App. You are solely responsible for your User Content. It must not be sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: • Use the App if you are under 18 or not a current Centennial College student. • Create a false identity or impersonate any person. • Harass, threaten, stalk, bully, or intimidate other users. • Upload or share explicit, violent, or offensive content. • Send spam or unsolicited commercial messages. • Collect or store personal data about other users without their consent. • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App. • Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the App. • Use the App for any illegal purpose. • Attempt to reverse-engineer or decompile the App. Violations may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
6. Reporting and Moderation
The App provides an in-app reporting feature. If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Terms, please report it. We reserve the right to review, monitor, and remove User Content or accounts that we determine, in our sole discretion, violate these Terms. Users who repeatedly violate these Terms or accumulate significant legitimate reports may be permanently banned.
7. Intellectual Property
All elements of the App — including its name ("Centennial Connection"), design, graphics, interface, logos, and code — are the intellectual property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written permission. Your User Content remains your property as described in Section 4.
8. Safety
Centennial Connection facilitates connections between users but is not responsible for any in-person meetings or interactions. Meeting people you have connected with online involves inherent risks. You are solely responsible for your own safety. We strongly encourage you to exercise caution and follow personal safety best practices when meeting other users in person.
9. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any matches or relationships will result from using the App, or that user profiles are accurate.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR PERSONAL INJURY. Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or zero dollars if the App is free).
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the App's Account Settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
