Child Safety Standards
Last updated: June 2026
1. Zero-Tolerance Policy
Centennial Connection has a strict zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Any content, behavior, or account found to involve the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors will result in immediate permanent account termination and will be reported to the relevant law enforcement authorities.
2. Age Requirement
Centennial Connection is intended exclusively for users who are 18 years of age or older. Registration requires a valid @my.centennialcollege.ca email address, which is issued only to enrolled students of Centennial College. This acts as an additional verification layer to restrict access to adult students only.
3. Content Moderation
All profile photos uploaded to the App are automatically scanned using Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch API before being made visible to other users. This system detects and blocks explicit or inappropriate content, including content that may involve minors. Users who attempt to upload such content will have their upload rejected and their account reviewed for termination.
4. Reporting Mechanisms
The App provides an in-app reporting feature that allows any user to report content or behavior they find inappropriate, including any content that may involve or endanger minors. All reports are reviewed promptly. Users can also contact us directly at heoposit@gmail.com to report child safety concerns.
5. Enforcement
Accounts found to violate our child safety standards are subject to: • Immediate permanent account termination. • Removal of all associated content. • Reporting to law enforcement authorities where required by law or deemed appropriate. We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies investigating child safety matters.
